Medical Cost Containment Update

Effective July 1, 2026, billing disputes, case management requests, and utilization reviews will each have a separate form. The billing dispute notification process for insurers will also change from three letters to one consolidated letter.

Important Notice

The WCA’s current ECF system will shut down Friday, June 5, at 11:00 a.m. for the transition to CaseX. Users will not be able to file during this time. CaseX goes live Monday, June 8.

The New Mexico Advisory Council on Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Disease Disablement meeting scheduled for 5/14 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
